Education Day at Cary Library, Saturday, June 17th, 2:00 - 4:00 PM

The Cary Library is located at 310 South Academy, which is near the T intersection of Academy and Kildare Farm Road. If you are driving from Hwy. 40, take the Harrison Road exit, pass Maynard Road (where Northwoods is located), go to Kildare Farm Road, turn left, go to Academy, turn left, and the Library will be on the left at 310.

When you get there, please ask for Rita or Karen, who are the Children's Library Coordinators. They will direct you to the "amphitheater" where we will tell the kids all about ferrets.

PetsMart Adoption Weekend, Saturday, May 6, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

President Lisa Clifton and Vice-President Cindy Barnes would like to invite you and your gentle ferrets to take part in the PetsMart Adoption Weekend! This is PetsMart's annual three-day adoptathon weekend!

TriFL will be showing off our ferrets only on Saturday, May 6th from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

TriFL's participation in the Adoption Weekend will take place at the PetsMart on Capital Boulevard at Millbrook Road. This PetsMart is approx. 3 - 4 miles North of the Beltline and is opposite the shopping center known as Mini City. The shopping Center with PetsMart is on the left side of Capital as you drive North and the Center has a Target and a Service Merchandise also.

Wake Forest Library Birthday Celebration

There will be 50 - 80 children in attendance and our contact, Leslie, said everyone last year loved our "ferret obstacle course!" (She means the Ferret Education Day Display Box!) I told her we have added some new obstacles this year - the enclosed rice box and the enclosed peanuts box!

Leslie did ask if we could provide some type of "craft project" for the children to make during our visit. So, if anyone has any ideas, please DO share them!

Since there will be such a large group, we need as many volunteers and gentle ferrets as we can gather. Remember, you don't have to be a "ferret expert." You just have to love ferrets and be willing to help out! Thanks very much!

NC Folks Arts Festival

We can sell our merchandise, educate the public, recruit new members, and enjoy being outdoors with our friends and ferrets. (And, you can get a little holiday shopping done early!)

IF YOU ARE AVAILABLE ON MAY 14TH AND WOULD LIKE TO PARTICIPATE, PLEASE LET ME KNOW! I will drive my van to St. Pauls, so will have room for a few folks and ferrets to VanPool!

Our next Santa Claws event will be Saturday, December 11, at the Wake Forest PetSmart, 11835 Retail Drive, off of Capital Blvd. (US 1) in the Target shopping center. We will also be at the Brier Creek PetSmart on Saturday, December 18th. The Brer Creek PetSmart is located at 8111 Brier Creek Parkway between Glenwood Avenue (US 70) and Lumley Road. You can get there from I-540, exit 3.

Our final Santa Claws event will be at the White Oak PetSmart, located at I-40 and US 70 in Garner on Sunday, December 19th.
