Attention all TriFL members, it's election time again. The Triangle Ferret Lovers will be taking nominations for officers at the next meeting. If you haven't been to a meeting in awhile this would be a good time to attend in order to voice your opinions about leadership and nominate yourself or someone you would like to see in an officer position.
Positions are as follows:
- Club President: Lead the meetings. This person will work closely with the other Officers and Committees addressing the needs of clubmembers and thecommunity.
Current President: Jim Dunn
- Vice President: Fill in when President is unavailable. Work closely with the other Officers and coordinate between Committees to make sure objectives are being met.
Current Vice President: Nicole Kincaid
- Treasurer: Record club finances and handle bank account transactions. Rely new member info to Newsletter Editor.
Current Treasurer: Eric Sessoms
- Secretary: Take minutes of the meeting and relay old business from past meeting. Is not necessary to attend each meeting, but you will need to find a volunteer to take them in your absence.
Current Secretary: Cindy Anderson
A community is only as strong as its members. Our community of ferret lovers, TriFL, needs you to attend our monthly meetings and socials and to give your input on achieving our goals. It's for the benefit of ferrets and owners alike.

One of the benefits of being a TriFL member, is that you receive the TriFL newsletter every month, filled with pictures, informative articles and important club information.
Although there are many good sources of ferret information available to draw newsletter articles from, many of our articles are written on the fly, to address subjects relevant to club members and local ferret issues. Generally if you don't see an author attributed to an article, that means I wrote it.
As editor of the newsletter, I'd really like to be able to include more articles written by club members, so that everyone has a chance to share their experiences with the rest of us. You don't need have writing experience, or even good spelling skills to contribute, just a desire to share with the ferret community.
Contributions of articles, poems, anecdotes, pictures and illustrations are all welcome and greatly encouraged. You can bring your submissions to a club meeting, email them or send via regular mail to Robynn McCarthy 4608 Dansey Drive Apt E Raleigh, NC 27616. If you want sent items to be returned (pictures will be scanned), please include a self addressed, stamped envelope.
The Triangle Ferret Lovers will be having their next meeting on February 6th at the Luther Green Center in Morrisville from 4:30 to 6:30 in the afternoon. All past, present and future members are welcome as are their ferrets. If your ferret tags along, please bring food, water and a litter pan. Please also, make sure that your ferrets are current on vaccinations and free of fleas or any contagious diseases, especially ECE. If your ferrets have been exposed to ECE they can be a carrier without even being sick, and pose a danger to healthy ferrets.
