The next Triangle Ferret Lovers club meeting will be Saturday,

Aviation Parkway and go south, cross over Chapel Hill Rd. (Hwy 54),
and it is the second brick building on your right.
OCTOBER 18TH MEETING NOTES
- Vice-Presidents: Vote on Bylaw changes passed by a majority.
Dave Taynor (Co-Vice President) and Pam Taynor (Treasurer) will be
stepping down next year from Office due to a new arrival expected
(hooman bean)! Anyone wishing to be an Officer for these or any
other post next year must be nominated and voted upon. Nominations
will be held February, and election in March. Please attend and
elect yourself or someone else. We still need an Education Chair.
Anyone willing to step forward before the February nominations is
welcome to do so. Rogues' Gallery Financing: TriFL is unable to
write checks directly to Rogues' Gallery until federal non-profit
status is achieved. A vote was taken and passed that TriFL will
donate 50% of fundraising, on an as-needed basis. Annual Holiday
Party will be Saturday, December 6th at the Luther Green Center for
games, snacks and soda social. If the anticipated attendance is
anything like last year, this space will not suffice. We will keep
this booking until a larger location to accommodate fuzzies and
parents is secured. If anyone has ANY ideas, call Earl Anderson @
403-1649. Annual Meeting Schedule: A vote was taken and passed for
six meetings (no January or July) and four socials.
- Treasurer:
Still need budgets from Chairs/Officers who spend money for
fundraising-booth fees, exhibit supplies, saleable items. T-shirt
sales garnered almost $80.
- Fundraising: Ferret t-shirts (w/o
logo) will be sold at the Dec. 20 Exotic Pet Show at the State
Fairgrounds. Booth Fee is $40; we have a one-hour time slot for one
or two speakers to talk about ferret care. Volunteers are needed
to work at the booth. Display boards/exhibits need to be updated.
If we love our fuzzies the way we say we do, we will all get out
there and educate the public on proper care and handling! Proposed
'98 Ferret Expo: Please call Leslie Dunn @ 217-8420 if you can
assist in planning this great educational extravaganza (media,
sponsors, exhibitors), not to mention that it is a great
fundraiser.
- Library: We have acquired several books for our
collection. Back issues of Modern Ferret magazine are available.
Present your membership card to check out any materials for one
month.
- Newsletter: A three page double-sided Information Pack
has been prepared for area pet stores. If you visit an area pet
store, please ask to check their stock, and if a re-supply is
needed, please advise Shari Gunter @ 231-3222 so the store can be
re-stocked for the upcoming holiday impulse ferret purchase.
- Adoption: Rogues' Gallery knows of twelve furkids needing a home,
please call Karen @ 644-0520 to adopt or foster.
Addition - PET STORE DISCOUNTS FOR MEMBERS...
Pet Gallery - Hwy. 98, Durham. 20% off all ferret related items
and food, excluding set-up specials.
